Employment Training and Development through Community Job Partnerships
CORIL develops and maintains numerous quality partnerships with local businesses in the Central Oregon area. These companiesw then outsource a variety of their work that our participants complete from our 5000 square foot Work Center in Bend or at the actual site of the vendor partners in business enclaves. This gives people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to be trained in various tasks from our Center in such job areas as mailings, product packaging, fulfillment, light assembly, secure document destruction and data scanning and storage services. When they are prepared and ready, participation in business enclaves allows them to experience community based employment by working alongside other employees of that company with continuing support from our staff. The next progressive opportunity comes from community job placement, either full or part time at a local business, leading to even more experienced independence and productivity by those participants.

These partnerships provide a great service to many local businesses that may not have the capacity or desire to hire their own employees and by partnering with CORIL can spend quality time marketing their business products while we take care of those repetitive tasks like packaging, fulfillment and light assembly that are often difficult to for employers to retain quality workers for. Each of our participant employees are paid based on their increasing levels of productivity as they obtain additional skills for a specific task.

Existing Job Partnerships
Some of our many job partners include companies such as Bend Mailing Services, O'Keeffe's Hand and Foot Creme, Dust-Aid, Window Alert, Round Butte Seed Company, Wild West Card Company, High Desert ESD, Cessna Aircraft, Hane's Chiropractic, Awbrey Glen Golf Club, Brooks Resources, Tazlab Pet Products, US Allegiance and the KIDS Center. Life Skills Training
CORIL considers everything we do to be a part of the development of specific life skills for our participants to develop on an ongoing basis. In addition to the job training and experience described above we also facilitate individual and group instruction in such areas as cooking, nutrition, money management, personal hygiene, conflict resolution, computer training, skill instruction for becoming a valuable employee, setting and obtaining life and vocational goals and successfully living on one's own and with others.

Community Inclusion
Just like you and me, our participants have a need for a balanced life through participation in various community activities. Some of the many choices for activities that we provide include bowling, swimming, hiking, fishing, educational field trips to various businesses or sites of special interests like the High Desert Museum.

Circle of Courage
CORIL maintains a skill instruction philosophy based on a set of specific values oriented goals in one or more of these life areas: Belonging, Achievement, Independence and Generosity. By facilitating skill instruction leading to growth and success in one's relationships, ability and desire for continual learning, growing in the level of control, direction and power of one's own life and developing an ability to help others and give back to the community, we address individual needs from a more holistic perspective.
