CORIL is very honored to have received their third year in a row finalist nomination for the Bend Chamber Organization of the Year Award for the public benefit sector.
The continuation of support from this fund allowed us to achieve three benchmarks in 2007.
This annual event in continuing partnership with Economic Development of Central Oregon increased participation by over 66% over 2006.
This highly successful community wide event continued as a partnership between CORIL and the COCC Cascade Chorale.
CORIL was able to expand our volunteer base by over 20%, in part due to a new partnership with Oregon State University.
CORIL was able to continue our expansion of partnering with local community businesses to complete various fulfillment and product packaging task that, in part, allowed us to increase our in-house production and community based enclaves by 25%
CORIL continued our annual outreach program to local schools in Central Oregon and provided disability awareness training to over 2000 students in 2007.
CORIL was able to successfully obtain a two-year grant to help those with disabilities navigate through the complicated process of their benefits and opportunities when faced with the increased challenges of remaining productive while perhaps experiencing a new disability.
CORIL continued to build on our work of revising and building on our new vision, mission and values statements of 2006.
At the close of Holiday Magic in December, CORIL solidified a partnership with Rachael Scdoris at her request to facilitate a Pledge-a-thon for the benefit of CORIL as well as to engage in an ongoing partnership to spread the awareness of our mission to empower people with disabilities to maximize their independence, productivity and inclusion in community based activities in their own lives.
